Our Health and Safety team recently organized a safety talk with Threads of Life titled 'Threads of Life - The Other Side of Safety' regarding workplace safety and injury prevention. The talk featured Marleen Pitruzzella, who shared her personal story about losing a loved one in a workplace incident.
Threads of Life, officially The Association for Workplace Tragedy Family Support, is a Canadian registered charity dedicated to supporting families after a workplace fatality, life-altering injury, or occupational disease. They are a network of family members and corporate partners who believe traumatic workplace injuries, occupational diseases, and deaths are preventable. Their mission is to help families heal through community and the fight to improve safety policies to prevent injuries and fatalities at work.
